How to Submit a Project Application (Call for Computing Resources)¶
This guide will walk you through the entire process — from selecting an active call to tracking the status of your submitted application.
Note: VPN must be configured to ensure secure remote access to HPC PERUN resources.
Step 1: List of Open Calls¶
After logging into the HPC PERUN Portal, open the Calls section from the left-hand menu.
Under the Active tab, you will see all currently open calls in which you can submit an application.
The list displays:
- Call name
- Type
- Description
- Application due date
- Current status (Active / Closed)
- “View Call” button
Click View Call to open detailed information.

Step 2: Call Details – Basic Information¶
When you open the call, a complete description is displayed, such as:
- Eligibility – who can apply
- Project scope – allowed and supported thematic areas
- Technical requirements – compatibility and necessary specifications
- Conditions for using the computing resources
Review whether your project meets the requirements.
Then click the “Applications” tab to continue.

Step 3: Submitting a Project Application¶

In the Applications tab, you will see:
- Your previously submitted applications (if any)
- The “Apply” button
Click Apply to open the project application form.
Required information includes:¶
- Project title
- Project description (abstract) – scientific/technical overview, objectives, expected contribution
- Requested CPU hours
- Requested GPU hours
- Software tools (e.g., Matlab, Python, TensorFlow…)
- Project attachments (limited by allowed file size)

Start typing their name or email, and the system will show matching users.

Before submitting your application:¶
- Check the “I agree to the terms and conditions” box
- Review all provided information
- Click “Submit Application”
After submitting, a confirmation message “Application Submitted” will appear.
Deleting an Application¶
An unsubmitted (Draft) application may be deleted.
Once deleted, it cannot be restored.

Step 4: Tracking the Status of Your Application¶
Open the Applications section from the menu.
Each application has one of the following statuses:
- Draft – not yet submitted
- Pending Approval – submitted, awaiting evaluation
- Approved – access to computing resources granted
- Rejected – not accepted
After clicking on an application, you can see:
- Creation date
- Current status
- Change history
- Last modification
- Approval or rejection details
- Full project information

Each application is evaluated by the committee of the TUKE Supercomputing Center.
Once processed, you will receive an informational email with the final decision.
