How to Login to the User Interface¶
Step 1: Navigate to the Login Screen¶
On the website of the Supercomputer Center of the Technical University of Košice hpc.tuke.sk, click “Access to HPC” in the upper-right corner of the screen.
This will take you to the login interface.

Note: VPN must be configured to ensure secure remote access to HPC PERUN resources.
Step 2: Login Page¶

After successfully registering and activating your account, on the login page:
- In the Email or HPC PERUN Identifier field, enter your registered email address or your assigned identifier.
- In the Password field, enter your access password.
- Click “Log In.”
If you have forgotten your password, you may use the “Forgot your password?” link.
After entering valid credentials, you will be redirected to the user portal.
Step 3: User Interface Overview¶

Main Navigation (Left Panel)¶
The left panel contains the main menu providing quick access to essential HPC PERUN portal functionalities:
- Dashboard – overview of statistics, system status, and shortcuts
- Calls – list of open/closed calls for computing time allocation
- Applications – overview of submitted requests (processing/approved/rejected)
- Projects – projects where you are the author or a member
- SSH Keys – manage your public SSH keys required for HPC access
- Change History – log of changes and activities
- HPC Website – external link to the official HPC web portal
User Profile (Bottom-Left Corner)¶
This section displays:
- Your name
- Your email address
Clicking this area opens the user profile where you can:
- Edit personal information
- Change your password
Clicking the small logout icon next to your user name signs you out.
Language Selection (Top-Right Corner)¶
In the top-right corner, you will see a language abbreviation (e.g., SK).
Click it to change the interface language:
- SK – Slovak
- EN – English
Dashboard Overview¶
After logging in, the dashboard provides key information about your activity and HPC infrastructure status:
- ✔ Current open calls
- ✔ Your projects
- ✔ Available or uploaded SSH keys
- ✔ Status of CPU and GPU nodes
- ✔ Usage statistics and metrics
Step 4: User Profile¶
To view or edit your personal information, click your username in the bottom-left corner of the portal.
Your profile displays:
- Registered email address (unchangeable)
- Unique HPC PERUN identifier
- Nickname used as a project identifier
- First and last name
- Additional profile details
Some fields are locked because they serve as unique identifiers in the system.

Step 5: Change Password¶
In Profile Settings → Password, you can update your password at any time.
Steps:¶
- Enter your current password.
- Enter a new password following the security requirements.
- Confirm the new password by typing it again.
- Click “Change Password.”
Recommendations:¶
- Do not use the same password as in other systems
- Store your password securely (e.g., in a password manager)
